My 6th Grade daughter&#39;s language arts teacher would <i>seriously<\/i> mark this particular diatribe down for spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.<\/p>\n<p>2. I&#39;ve come to the conclusion that a sign of political narcissism is the constant portrayal of the Current Struggle as The Most Important Election Ever.  Both parties (esp. on the fringe) are guilty of this. Not to say that elections aren&#39;t in fact important, but the perspective of age allows one to see that <i>every<\/i> election is portrayed as The Most Important Election Ever, sometimes by people with something ideological to sell, sometimes by people who want to feel important about being part of a cause to Win The Most Important Election Ever.<\/p>\n<p>3. As part of #2, I am fairly well convinced that the United States can survive four, and even eight, years of any given president. We did it with Bush, after all (without any usurpation of power, martial law declaration, etc.).
