But, really &#8212; it&#39;s primarily about making sure that the &quot;due process&quot; is followed, and if you get caught up in the gears, oh, well &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><i>&#39;&quot;We can&#39;t be outcome driven,&quot; said Anne Tompkins, the U.S. attorney in Charlotte. &quot;We&#39;ve got to make sure we follow the law, and people should want us to do that.&quot;&#39;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The &quot;outcome&quot; in this case being the release of men who are innocent of the charges brought against them because their crime has been declared not a crime.<\/p>\n<p>These aren&#39;t necessarily nice people who are wrongly imprisoned.
