Clearly there is a crisis in American negotiations over Intellectual Property and Copyright and so forth, a crisis that that means that the US is somehow, in some heretofore undiscovered and shadowy corner, not<\/i> pushing for maximum expansion of copyrights, especially for US media companies.<\/p>\n

Which is clearly why Lamar Smith has pulled out and enhanced a section of the failed SOPA legislation, to make sure that there are specifically identified, more highly positioned, legally-directed advocates for US copyright holders in all such negotiations. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Clearly a needed gap in Hollywood's\u00a0copyright defenses will be filled. And what's good for Hollywood is good for America! \u00a0Thanks, Lamar! \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
