And nice.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So I hedge my arguments. \u00a0Yeah, this gaggle of Right-Wing types are doing outrageous thing X, but, sure, I have to admit I&#39;ve seen a Left-Wing type doing the same over the years. \u00a0Sure, Obama&#39;s been treated like crap during his administration, but, of course, Dubya got a few outrageous slings and arrows slung his way undeservedly, too.<\/p>\n<p>But this isn&#39;t the first analysis I&#39;ve seen of Washington politics that indicates that while there&#39;s increased polarization, it&#39;s not evenly distributed between Left and Right, Dem and GOP. \u00a0It&#39;s not a matter of both sides getting more extreme, leaving all of us intelligent and unbiased folks in the center to declare a pox on both their house.<\/p>\n<p>The polarization is real. \u00a0But is far more pronounced on the Right. \u00a0And that&#39;s actually helping the GOP, especially as people fail to recognize it.<\/p>\n<p style='clear:both;'>\n<p style='margin-bottom:5px;'><strong>Embedded Link<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style='height:120px;width:120px;overflow:hidden;float:left;margin-top:0px;padding-top:0px;margin-right:10px;vertical-align:top;text-align:center;clear:both;'>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img style='max-width:none;' src='https:\/\/images0-focus-opensocial.googleusercontent.com\/gadgets\/proxy?container=focus&#038;gadget=a&#038;resize_h=100&#038;url=http%3A%2F%2Fgrist.files.wordpress.com%2F2012%2F05%2Ffish-red-blue.jpg' border='0' \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href='http:\/\/grist.org\/politics\/asymmetrical-polarization-the-lefts-gone-left-but-the-rights-gone-nuts\/#.T_2_2qtRR8U.twitter'>The left\u2019s gone left but the right\u2019s gone nuts: Asymmetrical polarization in\u00a0action<\/a><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tPolitical polarization has risen sharply in recent years.
