I heard from the plugin developer yesterday, and when he finally got a free minute to try things out, I’d not set up something properly to let him test. Argh. Hopefully it won’t take another week to get better news.<\/p>\n

Olympics<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Not their demographic. At all.<\/a> – Swilling Bud Light 24×7 is not my idea of a good time. So I really wish I didn’t have to keep watching their commercial during the Games.<\/li>\n
  2. Why are track and field records longer-lived than swimming ones? <\/a>– There are not a lot of T&F records broken each Olympics, while swimming records seem to be overturned on a regular basis. \u00a0Here are some thoughts as to why.<\/li>\n
  3. Empty seats at the Olympics<\/a> – Looks bad. Is bad, in fact.<\/li>\n
  4. NBC protects us from those crazy foreigners<\/a> – The worst excuse yet from NBC for it’s awful Opening Ceremony coverage.<\/li>\n
  5. En garde!<\/a> – Fencing is cool. I want to watch more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Election Politics<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Louis Black in 2012<\/a>\u00a0– I’d vote for him. If nothing else, the State of the Union would be a lot more entertaining.<\/li>\n
    2. Are we still allowed to say “Israel First” politicians?<\/a> – For a party that keeps nattering about protecting US sovereignty, they sure seem willing to subordinate our national interests to those of Israel.<\/li>\n
    3. Deaths is deaths<\/a> – Comparing Obama to the Aurora Theater shooter is totally bogus — except in the very narrow but important way it isn’t.<\/li>\n
    4. Stay classy, America<\/a> – The vitriol unleashed at the First Lady is utterly appalling. \u00a0And disturbing, and disgusting. And, yes, I’d feel that way about whoever was in that position.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Other<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      1. Getting it on like King Kong<\/a> – I’d like to visit the Empire State Building some day.<\/li>\n
      2. The Scale of the Universe<\/a> – Fascinating, and very, very nicely done.<\/li>\n
      3. Calling this poor judgment is a grotesque understatement<\/a> – Yes, let’s stage a kidnapping for the kids … for Jesus!<\/li>\n
      4. Let them eat cake — but not from us<\/a>\u00a0– How well thought-out is prejudice? \u00a0I don’t know, but I doubt very.<\/li>\n
      5. The end of pianos<\/a> – \u00a0There’s a glut of pianos to dispose of these days. \u00a0Very sad.<\/li>\n
      6. Too many secrets<\/a> – First they came for Wikileaks, but I didn’t care because I wasn’t an independent whistle-blowing group. Then they came for the New York Times<\/em>, and …<\/li>\n
      7. And I have some swampland in Florida to sell you, too<\/a> – I’ve been to the Salton Sea. \u00a0Anyone who asks you to invest in a big development there is selling you a bill of goods.<\/li>\n
      8. Grammar is meaningful<\/a> – And, yes, it comes into play in job applications.<\/li>\n
      9. Hmmm. Might take up cross-stitching again<\/a> – Very cool super-hero alphabet.<\/li>\n
      10. My inspiring mother-in-law<\/a> – Some advice for writing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
