I’ve mixed feelings on this one. On the one hand, it’s great news that Denver Water will probably decide Monday to loosen water restrictions<\/a> — either extending watering time per zone, or adding an extra day. Heaven knows, our yard can use it. Two days a week watering is just brutal when it’s as hot as it has been.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, even with reservoirs back to normal levels far sooner than anyone had expected, we are still running out of water in this area. I hope that some level of restriction is left in place, to encourage folks to plant and irrigate more wisely, and to deal with inevitable future growth.<\/p>\n

That may be a bit paternalistic of me, but I’d rather face the shortages of the future a little bit at a time, rather than all at once.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
