I've always had a manual transmission. But for how much longer?<\/p>\n

It's not that I mind automatic — some of them are darned snappy (the one on our Subaru Outback, with the quasi-manual flippers is positively fun to drive) — but I do love tight manual transmissions on a winding little road …<\/p>\n

If I were stuck in freeway traffic regularly, I realize I might have a different opinion.<\/p>\n
