{"id":2925,"date":"2002-09-03T13:33:18","date_gmt":"2002-09-03T18:33:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/?p=2925"},"modified":"2002-09-03T13:33:18","modified_gmt":"2002-09-03T18:33:18","slug":"alternative_sug","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2002\/09\/03\/alternative_sug.html","title":{"rendered":"Alternative suggestions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>No doubt you&#8217;ve heard about the rib-tickling proposed &#8220;Reality TV&#8221; show, a <a href=\"http:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/news?tmpl=story2&#038;cid=854&#038;ncid=763&#038;e=5&#038;u=\/variety\/20020828\/tv_variety\/television<i>_hillbillies_dc_1&#8243;>revival of the <\/i>Beverly Hillbillies<\/a>, but with <i>real <\/i>&#8220;rural, lower-middle class family&#8221; (complete with granny) learning to live life in a Bevery Hills mansion.<\/p>\n<p>(Never mind that the original BH were the actual <i>heroes <\/i>of the stories, noble and honest and warm-hearted, and that no matter how many giggles we had over the fish out of water, what we <i>really <\/i>loved was the comeuppance of the snooty, unscrupulous greed-heads who tried to exploit them for their own gain.  Hmmmmm.)<\/p>\n<p>Well, Susanna here has a few <a href=\"http:\/\/bias.blogfodder.net\/archives\/2002_08.html#002681\">alternative suggestions<\/a>.  Glad to see we agree on the third one.<\/p>\n<p>Though now that I think of it, that&#8217;s actually close relative to <i>Green Acres<\/i>.
