It’s This or That Tuesday<\/a> (now at a new site).<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. CandyLand or Chutes and Ladders?<\/b> Never had the former, but loved the latter. We actually already have a version of it (purchased in the UK during our trip, with a Beatrix Potter theme) waiting for Katherine.<\/p>\n

2. Barbie or GI Joe?<\/b> My brother had one of the full-size GI Joes once upon a time. Never got much into it, nor, to be sure, into Barbie (though that shade of pink does seem to give me a headache). Closest I had to action figures was Major Matt Mason.<\/p>\n

3. Play-Doh or Silly Putty?<\/b> Play-Doh. You could make things with it, whereas Silly Putty lost its charm after you made copies of enough cartoons with it.<\/p>\n

4. Lincoln Logs or Tinkertoys? <\/b> Ooooh, tough one. I loved Lincoln Logs — but there’s only so much you can do with them. Tinkertoy was da bomb, however. Not until a much later introduction to Lego was there a toy I enjoyed so much.<\/p>\n

5. The Game of Life or Monopoly?<\/b> We were a Life family, for some odd reason. Both games are fun — and the new “Star Wars” version of Life actually has some good rule twists to it.<\/p>\n

6. Etch-a-Sketch or Lite-Brite?<\/b> Never had the latter. The former was okay, if frustrating.<\/p>\n

7. The Slinky: metal or plastic?<\/b> Metal. Duh.<\/p>\n

8. Easy-Bake Oven or Sno-Cone Machine?<\/b> Never had either. I’d probably vote for the sno-cones.<\/p>\n

9. Hot Wheels or Matchbox cars?<\/b> We were a Hot Wheels family, with a variety of cars, tracks, and accessories. We also had a variety of miscellaneous toy cars, many of which were lost in the vast underground tunnels of the Golden Springs Elementary sandbox.<\/p>\n

10. Spirograph or Paint-by-Numbers?<\/b> Never did the latter. The former was pretty fun, though.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
