Even edgy. He has cinematic experience. While I don&#39;t know that he&#39;s dome all that much with either the X-franchise or the Fantastic Four with Marvel, he&#39;s got strong comic book writing chops.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, he&#39;s sometimes too self-consciously edgy for his own good, and occasionally comes across as a poor man&#39;s Garth Ennis. He did a decent job on <i>The Authority<\/i> after Warren Ellis left, but in a much mroe straightforward fashion.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the role &#8212; creative consultant &#8212; it&#39;s not clear how much this really parallels Whedon&#39;s role with Disney\/Marvel&#39;s movies (given Whedon also has some writing and directing involvement, too). \u00a0But I think, at a minimum, it&#39;s a positive sign that Fox is bringing in some decent comic book talent to try to unify and amplify the comic book vision of their currently held Marvel franchises.
