(Now if only Lady Phoxxe had TrackBack turned on her actual SS page, rather than having to drill through to her blog to get to it.)<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>1.  Your boss demands to know what a co-worker is saying behind her back. It&#8217;s not flattering. Do you say?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;d probably say, but put the best spin on it I could.<\/p>\n<p><b>2.  You pick up a lottery ticket for yourself and a friend. Your friend&#8217;s number is drawn before you can deliver her ticket. Do you switch tickets?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Tempting &#8230; but no.  But I would certainly tell my friend I hadn&#8217;t, and it would be a favorite anecdote of mine.  Honest, I may be, but humble I&#8217;m not.<\/p>\n<p><b>3.  You&#8217;ve been pounding the pavement looking for work. A company where workers are on strike offers you a job. Do you take it?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>It would ultimately depend on how desperate our family economics were.  Assuming it wasn&#8217;t lose-the-house time, no, I wouldn&#8217;t.  Not that I necessarily cavil at crossing a picket line (not knowing the issues involved), but it&#8217;s not a good, long-term employment prospect, whichever way the strike turns out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yes, I said, Saturday Scruples.
