This-or-That Tuesday<\/a>, even though it’s really (ssshhhh) Wednesday …<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

1. What’s your personal clothing style…trendy or classic?<\/b><\/p>\n

Classic, I guess. Comfort, courtesy, and conformity.<\/p>\n

2. Do you shop for designer names or stick with the more generic brands?<\/b><\/p>\n

I search for stuff that looks decent, wears well, and is inexpensive. I don’t care what the label says, frankly.<\/p>\n

Oh, yeah, and it can’t require ironic, either.<\/p>\n

3. Work clothes: dressy or casual?<\/b><\/p>\n

Casual, thank God. I did slacks-and-tie up until maybe two, three years ago, and am glad to be largely quit of it.<\/p>\n

4. Days off style: dressy or casual? <\/b><\/p>\n

Shorts (or jeans), sandals and t-shirt. Or maybe a Hawaiian shirt. Casual.<\/p>\n

5. Women: high heels or flats? Men: Wing-tips or work boots?<\/b><\/p>\n

I refuse to polish shoes any more, so I’ve gone for sueded and other sorts of leather in my work shoes. I prefer loafers (being a lazy cuss).<\/p>\n

6. Do you have a large wardrobe, or just a few carefully selected pieces?<\/b><\/p>\n

Actually, it’s gotten pretty large. Not Margie-sized, but large enough I probably need to do a culling.<\/p>\n

7. Do you shop for clothing at stores or from catalogs\/internet?<\/b><\/p>\n

I’ll buy t-shirts on-line, but not much else. I don’t trust the sizing. I tend to buy from stores, preferably from the sale\/clearance rack, or from TJ Maxx, Nordie’s Rack, etc.<\/p>\n

8. Are most of your clothes dry-clean only or machine-washable?<\/b><\/p>\n

*snort* The “dry-clean only” ones tend to get a single wearing and then get hung up behind the bedroom door, with the things that need mending.<\/p>\n

Which is not a dig at Margie, because I don’t consider it one person’s job or the other to get it done; I just recognize that it doesn’t.<\/p>\n

9. You buy an article of clothing and realize it is all wrong for you when you get home. Return or keep it?<\/b><\/p>\n

Depends on the cost. Though the only time something is “all wrong” for me is when it doesn’t fit.<\/p>\n

10. Hats: yes or no?<\/b><\/p>\n

Until I started close-cropping my hair about a year ago, I could rarely wear hats because of (a) major hat-hair problems, and (b) my skull is 7-7\/8 or more, plus hair, and XL hats tend to run 7-1\/2 or 7-3\/4 tops.<\/p>\n

So now I wear hats on occasion — especially if I’ll be out in the sun much. Indeed, I think if you scroll over way to the right, you’ll see one in the B&W pics at the top of the page …<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
