So because (1) Santa Monica had to give everyone a chance to put up holiday displays because the Constitution, and (2) it led to vandalism of non-Christian displays last year, and (3) Santa Monica decided this year to skip the whole mess and let people put up whatever holiday displays they wanted on private<\/i> property, then (4) this is some big atheist plot to KILL CHRISTMAS.<\/p>\n

I love Christmas. I love a good Nativity. But I don't see any reason why any\u00a0city needs to stage one on public land, if other folks don't get to have their \u00a0religious bits and bobs on display as well.<\/p>\n

Pat Robertson, of course (and not he alone) don't see it that way. If Christianity doesn't get special treatment, then it's being oppressed. \u00a0Which doesn't make any sense, but …<\/p>\n
