A new study indicates that one of the mystery functions of a set of low-speed tactile nerves is to make us feel good when we cuddle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Interstingly, this is another case where a neurological aberration (in this case, a woman who lost all sense of conventional touch below the nose) helped identify something (cf. The Man Who Mistook His Wife for a Hat<\/i>).<\/p>\n
