I liked this bit:<\/p>\n

'You might not be able to stomach X. \u00a0So stop giving it mental real estate already. \u00a0Don\u2019t joke about it, don\u2019t talk about it, don\u2019t badmouth it, don\u2019t use it for comparison to anything else. \u00a0No more space, no more power.<\/i><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re going to talk about X, if you can\u2019t stop talking about X, figure out what X does right. Go ahead, make fun of X, if you have to. \u00a0But you\u2019re acknowledging power. \u00a0Every one-star review is a bow to the creator of that product. \u00a0Every three-star \u201cmeh\u201d is a lie.<\/i><\/p>\n

Look what they made you do.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

And the first example she gives is of people making fun of modern art. Which, yeah, I confess I've been known to do from time to time, usually involving a reference to the Tate Modern and a vacation visit years ago.<\/p>\n

I should probably do some thinking about that some time.<\/p>\n
