The crew to do the actual work arrived around 7:15, and were basically here all day, working like sons of guns. They put tarp across the front and back of the house to protect from stuff being shoved down to tarps below.<\/p>\n

They stripped off the old shingles and tar paper, and put down the new sealing covering and tacked down the new shingles on top of that. They were at least 95% done by end of day, and had everything very nicely tidied \u00a0up as well.<\/p>\n

The inspector comes tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Generally speaking, the color of the new asphalt-laminate shingles is a good match. \u00a0They've turned out to be a bit less profiled than I think we ideally wanted, but the color variations help that a lot, and, honestly, I'm just glad it's done.<\/p><\/div>\n
