Colorado civil unions bill signed into law by Gov. John Hickenlooper<\/b><\/p>\n

Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper has signed a civil unions bill into law, which will allow same-sex couples to form civil unions beginning in May.<\/p>\n

Sen. Pat Steadman, who has spent more than two decades fighting for equality for gays, chose the History Colorado Center for the bill signing. The Denver Democrat said one reason he selected the new state facility at 1200 Broadway is because the word "history" is displayed on the building. http:\/\/dpo.st\/YrLS2o<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
