J. Abrams will more likely focus more on <i>Star Wars<\/i> in the future (where Disney owns everything). \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On the one hand, it&#39;s frustrating to see this kind of copyright \/ trademark \/ intellectual property tug-of-war interfere with Cool Things happening. \u00a0CBS and Paramount both used to be part of a single media company, Viacom, but spun their separate ways a while back, leading to the mess.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, had it been up to Abrams and his Bad Robot firm, there would not have been any more Star Trek: The Original Series marketing of stuff (so as not to cause &quot;brand confusion&quot; with the rebooted modern franchise).
