Sort of an information-shallow look at the preservation and restoration work being done on the facade of this Denver landmark, but still an interesting read. \u00a0I'm glad the owners are taking this step, as some of the stonework has gotten terribly worn. I wonder what they are going to do with the eroded figures and decorative bits?<\/p>\n

(Frankly, I'd love it if they'd restore the angels around the 17th Street entrance, but that's never going to happen.)<\/p>\n

The red sandstone on the outside of Denver's The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa has seen its fair share of history \u2014 Molly Brown, the Beatles and 12 presidents have all stayed within its walls since its doors opened in 1892.\u00a0*After more than 120 years, the hotel is getting a facelift.*<\/p>\n
