I’m off to beeyooteeful Pasadena, Calif., in the morning, there to find out my department’s fate, and WTF regarding the shuffle in management<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Best Case Scenario: I’m being named to replace my former boss, complete with a big raise, keys to the executive washroom, and a ticker-tape parade down Colorado Blvd.<\/p>\n

Worst Case Scenario: I’m being demoted, preliminary to being fired, and will end my days starving to death in a cardboard box.<\/p>\n

I suspect the truth will fall somewhere between.<\/p>\n

I leave way too early in the a.m., and return way too late in the p.m. And since I’ll likely be sitting in the cube opposite the office door of my new boss (former boss’ boss), my blogging will perforce be a tad constrained. (A sad follow-through to those new readers — 2,700 of them <\/i>, ten times my daily average, according to Site Meter — I’ve had today. My apologies.)<\/p>\n
