I have never cared for this particular line of argument around the Problem of Evil, for much the same reason the Pig suggests. \u00a0<\/p>\n

I'm also not thrilled with the Sacrifice of Abraham as an opportunity to teach\u00a0piety, dittowise.<\/p>\n

\n I’m pretty sure at this point, it’s not even about god any more for more xtians. I think it’s mostly about people the can’t grasp the concept of \u201call men are created equal\u201d. I’m not even joking. If god loves everyone equally, then these \u201clesson in humility\u201d would happen uniformly.\n <\/p>\n
