But don&#39;t worry: Ezekiel Gilbert feels <i>really bad<\/i> about shooting 23-year-old Lenora Frago in the neck, leaving her paralyzed until her death seven months later:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI&#39;ve been in a mental prison the past four years of my life. I have nightmares. If I see guns on TV where people are getting killed, I change the channel.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The law appears to allow you to murder <i>anyone<\/i> who you believe has taken money from you, so long as it&#39;s done after dark. The prosecution&#39;s argument was that prostitution is illegal, and the law doesn&#39;t protect gains from criminal activity, so therefore he didn&#39;t have the right to murder her in particular, although murdering other people is generally fine. Had he been convicted, he could have faced up to life in prison for the slaying of Lenora Ivie Frago who died about seven months after she was shot in the neck and paralyzed on Christmas Eve 2009.
