You get a call in your hotel room at 2 a.m. \u00a0A very apologetic desk clerk, Bob, says that they've had a computer crash and need to reverify credit card information for all occupants. \u00a0Can you please come down to the front desk to give your credit card number?<\/p>\n

Some people will be suspicious. Some people will comply. Some people will tell the front desk to pound sand and hang up. Some people will grumble or hesitate, and be offered the opportunity to just read their credit card info over the phone …<\/p>\n

… and some of those people will, groggy and tired and responding to authority, will do so. \u00a0And find some interesting stuff on their credit card statements the next morning.<\/p>\n

Don't be one of those people.<\/p><\/div>\n
