I was surprised to find how much I liked this film, as my memory of it was not all that favorable (though the review,\u00a0https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2011\/11\/07\/movie-review-captain-america-2011.html<\/a>, was effusive). \u00a0While a bit more episodic than I find comfortable, this is a very solid and enjoyable comic-book film.<\/div>\n

\n I had honestly forgotten how much I enjoyed this movie — thus it was a surprise to watch it again and really get a kick out of it. Not much to add to the below, though I’m not quite as effusive on rewatch as I was a couple of years ago. There’s a lot to like here, though the plot feels strangely convoluted, and the climactic “Here’s how Cap ends up in the state we find him in at the beginning of the film” still makes no sense to me.
