{"id":37930,"date":"2013-06-28T06:19:52","date_gmt":"2013-06-28T12:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2013\/06\/28\/happy-birthday-google.html"},"modified":"2013-06-30T17:18:52","modified_gmt":"2013-06-30T23:18:52","slug":"happy-birthday-google","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2013\/06\/28\/happy-birthday-google.html","title":{"rendered":"Happy Birthday, Google+"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gpb-content\">Wow, two years old. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Looking at the introductory video below, I find it interesting that the big feature G+ touted, Circles, is one I use the least. \u00a0While I have all my contacts dutifully linked that way, G+ is not my primary communication mode with everyone (yet). 99% of the stuff I do is Public.<\/p>\n<p>That said, G+ has provided a tool to link me up with may buckets of people that I would otherwise never had met or associated with or chatted with or exchanged comments with. \u00a0I find more meaningful conversations here than, say, on Facebook, and more opportunity to explore ideas rather than &quot;So, here&#39;s what I did this weekend.&quot; \u00a0Though there&#39;s room for that, too, ahem.<\/p>\n<p>I still maintain my regular blog (and feed it from G+ with the Google+Blog plugin), and will for the foreseeable future.
