{"id":38169,"date":"2013-07-05T21:29:30","date_gmt":"2013-07-06T03:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2013\/07\/05\/movie-previews-before-star-trek.html"},"modified":"2013-07-05T22:17:37","modified_gmt":"2013-07-06T04:17:37","slug":"movie-previews-before-star-trek","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2013\/07\/05\/movie-previews-before-star-trek.html","title":{"rendered":"Movie previews before &quot;Star Trek&quot;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gpb-content\">When we went to see <i>Star Trek: Into Darkness<\/i> the other night, here is what we saw trailers for:- <i>Mortal Instruments: City of Bones<\/i> &#8211; Because I guess <i>something<\/i> had to pick up the audience\u00a0the <i>Twilight<\/i> franchise left behind when it ended.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <i>Hunger Games: Catching Fire<\/i> &#8211; Having read the book series, I have nigh-zero interest.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <i>Thor: The Dark World<\/i> &#8211; Whatever happened to sequels with numbers? \u00a0Jeez. \u00a0Anyway, yeah, I&#8217;m there, even if it&#8217;s the same trailer we&#8217;ve had for a few months.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <i>Elysium<\/i> &#8211; I&#8217;m sure Star Trek TOS&#8217;s &#8220;The Cloud Minders&#8221; \u00a0wasn&#8217;t the first to play with this theme of &#8220;The 1% Live In the Sky Over The Proles&#8221; in SF. It clearly, 45 years later, wasn&#8217;t the last. \u00a0Ho-hum.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <i>Anchorman 2<\/i> &#8211; At last! A number! Unfortunately, not something I have the least interest in.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; <em>301<\/em> &#8230;. er, wait, <i>300: Rise of an Empire<\/i> &#8211; And a number, but not representing the sequel. \u00a0Also, no.
