\n The second Pierce Brosnan Bond film is a mixed bag. Brosnan’s Bond has the witty banter of Connery and Moore, but is also world-weary, prototyping directions the series would go once Daniel Craig stepped in. In this movie he faces a media mogul (a la Rupert Murdoch or Robert Maxwell) who is out to become the world’s dominant news purveyor by fomenting war between the UK and China.
