Here’s the story about my mother-in-law’s Woman of Distinction award from last week, which finally made it into the LA Times<\/a> on Saturday:<\/p>\n

Newport social activist and leader Sandy Segerstrom Daniels joined fellow community standout Ginger Kleerup <\/b>as the 2003 Women of Distinction selected by The Girl Scout Council of Orange County.
\nSanta Ana Country Club was the setting for the March luncheon. Ladies and gents filled the posh club to support the Girl Scouts and, in particular, to salute Segerstrom and Kleerup.
\nGail Ellis-Olds, representing the Girl Scout Council of Orange County, proudly shared the backgrounds of the honorees.
\n“Ginger Kleerup celebrates 50 years as a member of Girl Scouts,” Ellis-Olds said. “She is one of our most extraordinary volunteers serving on the council’s board of directors as well as the fund development committee and many other administrative volunteer roles.” […]<\/p>\n
