If a show manages to capture the spirit of a comic book, that should be enough. While TV has done too little in this respect, occasionally I have asked too much.&#39;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Yeah. I love gratuitous bits and bobs as much as the next comic book geek (and I asked just that question about Costa Verde vs Peru for SHIELD), but adhering to spirit is more important than adhering to canon &#8212; <i>if<\/i> the reasons for doing the former vs the latter don&#39;t feel too much like &quot;We have a really limited budget, plus viewers won&#39;t understand.&quot; \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, yeah, I want &quot;Agents of SHIELD&quot; to go up against Hydra, early and often. And\/or AIM. And I don&#39;t mind if Hydra isn&#39;t all dressed in green uniforms or AIM doesn&#39;t look like a lot of yellow beekeepers. But I do mind if they&#39;re just all mobsters, or generic mooks. \u00a0And throwing in someone who does the Hydra creed, or a background technician in one of those AIM bucket helmets will go a long way.
