'It\u2019s one thing for the government to argue that these statistics need to be kept secret. It\u2019s another for the government to claim that it can\u2019t reveal its rationale for<\/i> why this data should be kept from the public.'<\/i><\/p>\n

And all it does is build the sense that it's simply because it would be embarrassing<\/i> and politically inconvenient,<\/i> which, historically, is the reason behind a substantial number of secret classifications.<\/p>\n
