A roundly lambasted movie, but there are piece of it that I actually enjoy, even on rewatch. Alas, the hot mess of a plot and lack of chemistry in key roles keeps even the original Robot's voice, and a splendid turn by Gary Oldman as Dr. Smith, from carrying the day.<\/p>\n

\n Oh, “Lost in Space,” what can I say? Well, let’s start by what went right: + Gary Oldman’s Doctor Smith steals the show, taking Zachary Harris’ traitorous doctor and making him into an openly evil guy. (Alas, after playing a major role in the first 3\/4 of the film, the character essentially vanishes.) + The Robot was a key member of the original cast, and by bringing back Dick Tufeld as the voice, as well as a visual homage to the original, the m…\n <\/p>\n
