{"id":4008,"date":"2003-02-28T15:00:27","date_gmt":"2003-02-28T20:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/?p=4008"},"modified":"2003-02-28T15:00:27","modified_gmt":"2003-02-28T20:00:27","slug":"people_are_peop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2003\/02\/28\/people_are_peop.html","title":{"rendered":"People are people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"snow.jpg\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/images\/snow.jpg\" width=\"195\" height=\"300\" border=\"0\" hspace=10 align=right \/>A lesson we too often forget.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.haaretzdaily.com\/hasen\/pages\/Gallery.jhtml?groupId=7\">A lesson we should try to remember<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not saying that the differences we have are not real, that they should be ignored, that they don&#8217;t matter.<\/p>\n<p>But too often we look at just the differences, and we ignore the similarities.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we think that the differences are <i>all <\/i>that matter.  <\/p>\n<p>Sometimes we think that the differences are <i>all <\/i>that is real.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes that&#8217;s the most comfortable thing to do.  Sometimes that makes  things easier, simpler, at least in the short term.<\/p>\n<p>But in the long term, it&#8217;s denying reality.  And reality can bite you if you ignore it.<\/p>\n<p>If we&#8217;re going to survive, we&#8217;ll have to remember the similarities, too.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A lesson we too often forget.
