These popped up last weekend before our viewing of The Desolation of Smaug.<\/i><\/p>\n

– Walking with Dinosaurs<\/b><\/i> – The CGIfied version of The Land Before Time<\/i> series, as far as I can tell. \u00a0Pass.<\/p>\n

– Anchorman 2<\/b><\/i> – I'm sure I would chuckle, but pass.<\/p>\n

– Earth to Echo<\/b><\/i> – ET, Phone Your Lawyers. Pass.<\/p>\n

– Captain America: Winter Soldier<\/b><\/i> – Same trailer as has been around for the past several weeks. I'm all in for this one.<\/p>\n

– 47 Ronin<\/b><\/i> – Okay, this looks cool, and lovely, and violent, and cool. But, really, guys — this bears as much resemblance to the classic tale of "47 Ronin" as, um, Abe Lincoln, Vampire Hunter<\/i> bears a resemblance to … well, in fact, I think ALVH bears more resemblance to the real Lincoln. Instead, call this "What if we had a movie about Washington Crossing the Delaware, but included Hessian Mecha!" Um … pass. Well, maybe. It does look cool.<\/p>\n

– Amazing Spider-Man 2<\/b><\/i> – Looks fine, but … I'm not sure when I lost my interest in the Spider-franchise. Maybe when the rebooted it just a few years after the previous movie. Pass.<\/p>\n

– Walter Mitty<\/b><\/i> – Looks way too uplifting and heart-warming for my taste. \u00a0_Pocketa-pocketa._ Pass.<\/p>\n

– Jupiter Ascending<\/b><\/i> – Okay, High SF is not a niche often pursued. I am intrigued.<\/p>\n

– Godzilla<\/b><\/i> – On the one hand, looks cool. On the other hand, soldiers vs. alien \/ monster invasion is way overdone. On the gripping hand, that freaking Godzilla roar.<\/i> On the fence about this one.\ufeff<\/div>\n
