While the revised bill dropped the death penalty for multiple convictions of homosexual behavior, it's replaced with life imprisonment instead, which is not a whole lot better. More disturbing (in its own way) is criminalization of speech that supports or "promotes" homosexuality, which I guess means I may be in trouble if I ever visit Uganda.<\/p>\n

FWIW, the Ugandan parliament also passed a law that bans anything that "shows sexual parts of a person such as breasts, thighs, buttocks," and outlawing \u00a0"any erotic behaviour intended to cause sexual excitement or any indecent act or behaviour tending to corrupt morals."\ufeff<\/p><\/div>\n
