{"id":4024,"date":"2003-02-25T21:44:57","date_gmt":"2003-02-26T02:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/wp\/?p=4024"},"modified":"2003-02-25T21:44:57","modified_gmt":"2003-02-26T02:44:57","slug":"uk03_film_at_11","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2003\/02\/25\/uk03_film_at_11.html","title":{"rendered":"UK03 &#8211; Film at 11"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We got back the &#8220;real&#8221; film, along with CDs for each roll, so I should have those pics up in the next day or so (depending on other workload, ahem).<\/p>\n<p>Some interesting observations on the new Kodak B&#038;W film which can be processed with the normal C-41 color:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The prints (on color stock, I assume) have an odd sepia quality to them.  The CDs don&#8217;t, thank goodness.\n<li>The film, ISO 400, did a really crappy job in low-contrast or dark conditions.  The best photos by far were with good, high-contrast exteriors.<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s possible, of course, that some of this was due to the CostCo processing.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, only one of the rolls, a B&#038;W one, seems to have been damaged by x-rays.<\/p>\n<p>One other thing which must be noted:  even though I tend to think of myself as the &#8220;artistic&#8221; member of the household, Margie is a damn fine photographer.
