The faboo space age "Theme Building" restaurant at LAX has closed. \u00a0It's had a checkered career, but the main issue seems to be that it wasn't good enough to be a "destination" restaurant (as if anyone would want to brave traffic\u00a0to LAX to dine, including the hassle of parking), and people actually at<\/i> the airport to fly somewhere don't want to leave their terminal to eat at the theme building restaurant because the security lines to get back in are such a freaking hassle.<\/p>\n

The building's not going anywhere, and the "observation deck" is still open, but the there will be some head-scratching going on to figure out how to get a successful restaurant into that space.\ufeff<\/p><\/div>\n
