A \u2605\u2605\u2605\u00bd review of Jack the Giant Slayer (2013)<\/a>
\n This film has flash and spectacle worthy of a Bryan Singer film, but ultimately it’s a fairy tale of characters performing mythic roles that left me entertained but not enraptured. The cast is actually pretty large, and features several characters that drive the action (and, in many cases, survive to the end). The players all do their parts quite well, though there just isn’t much “part” to play — the doting father king, the rebellious princess,…\n <\/p>\n
