Here you go — this particular web site thinks The Lord of the Rings<\/i> is evil, evil, evil<\/a>. Why, you ask?<\/p>\n

Well, for one thing, Tolkien was, well, you know, Catholic<\/i>. No, seriously.<\/p>\n

And he hung out and drank beer with C.S. Lewis, who was also kind of Catholic<\/i>. And he was a professor of pagan <\/i>languages, and loved pagan <\/i>mythology. <\/p>\n

And, you know, there are wizards who are good<\/i>. And it’s not Biblical, or even a Christian allegory. And, you know, it inspired (gasp) Dungeons & Dragons<\/i>. And hippies and rock-and-rollers<\/i> liked it.<\/p>\n

The world knows its own; and when the demonic world of fantasy role-playing and the morally filthy world of rock and roll love something, you can be sure it is not godly and it is not the truth.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the only good thing the particular review has to say about LotR <\/i>is that it’s “not as overtly and sympathetically occultic as the Harry Potter series.”<\/p>\n

Yup, any time you have an article that starts off by chiding Focus on the Family <\/i>for being soft on something, you know entertainment is about to ensue …<\/p>\n

(Of course, Pokemon are also evil and Satanic<\/a>, so, what do you expect?)<\/p>\n
