Of course, a lot of companies (and communities) would call these corporate investments.<\/i> \u00a0A shame we don't use the same terminology for helping citizens who are poor and\/or out of work.<\/p>\n

In any case, the point is not whether these subsidies are good or bad, it's that they are (often intentionally) obscure. The taxpayers should have a clear picture of where their money is going (or who's not chipping into the pot because of a special deal).<\/p>\n
