\n It certainly holds up to a rewatch. The plot is chaotic, even manipulative at times, but this tale of Captain America is not so much about the doughty 4F becoming a big hero, but the little guy gradually, then triumphantly, gaining agency and control over his fate — from 4F to bond salesman to rescuer to avenger to self-sacrifice — all through dint of will and basic decency.
