I wish no torment of Phelps in the Afterlife, save for the shame of learning how very wrong he was.<\/p>\n

Rather than thinking that his death is a good reason to hope that Hell exists,\u00a0I think it's a better reason to hope that reincarnation exists, so that he can take that learning and apply it in another life.<\/p>\n

Fred Phelps, of "God Hates Fags" infamy, died today. +<\/span>George Takei<\/a><\/span>\u00a0had some good words to say on the subject. But in one thing I disagree: I do, actually, wish that I had the time to go to his funeral and picket it.<\/p>\n

My sign would say, "God loves you too, Fred."<\/p>\n

I would like to get some friends to come as well. Maybe some other signs could say "You are a person worthy of love and respect," or "Being good to other people makes the world a better place." There are a lot of good signs we could stand there with.\ufeff<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
