Cool. A leaked picture <\/a>of the “Forbidden Mountain” feature due to open at WDW “Animal Kingdom” in 2005. <\/p>\n

At the latest Disney shareholder meeting, Michael Eisner made a soft announcement for “Forbidden Mountain,” a new ride scheduled to open in 2005 in the Asian section of Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World. This may revive the sagging fortunes of the Animal Kingdom, where the pickings are thin enough that Disney insiders call it “Minimal Kingdom.”
\nAn anonymous donor snuck this high-rez photo of the model for the ride out of Walt Disney Imagineering — I’m pretty excited by it.<\/p>\n

I’ve not heard the “Minimal Kingdom” nomenclature — and, in fact, DAK is one of my favorite spots at WDW. Could there be more there? Sure. That’s what we’re seeing here. (Though there are some interesting comments at the BB discussion board <\/a>on this, related to Beastly Kingdom<\/a>.) <\/p>\n
