An Ohio state representative (John Becker (R))wants to get rid of insurance coverage of IUDs because he thinks they prevent the implantation of fertilized ova, and therefore are abortion. That's not how medical science actually defines abortion, and not how IUDs actually work, but hey, at least he admits, "This is just a personal view. I\u2019m not a medical doctor."<\/p>\n

Which is a wonderful<\/i> reason, of course, for a legislator to be legislating about medical matters.\ufeff<\/div>\n
