{"id":42423,"date":"2014-06-06T22:59:15","date_gmt":"2014-06-07T04:59:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2014\/06\/06\/hey-look-another-reason-not-to-be-on-linkedin.html"},"modified":"2014-06-07T10:21:17","modified_gmt":"2014-06-07T16:21:17","slug":"hey-look-another-reason-not-to-be-on-linkedin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hill-kleerup.org\/blog\/2014\/06\/06\/hey-look-another-reason-not-to-be-on-linkedin.html","title":{"rendered":"Hey, look, another reason not to be on LinkedIn"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"gpb-content\">I have a LinkedIn profile, which basically means I get each week a couple dozen people pinging me to get me to admit that I know them, and a half-dozen people ranking me as Really Spiffy in something that they&#39;ve never known me to do.<\/p>\n<p>I get onto LinkedIn probably once a year.<\/p>\n<p>That said, there are a lot of folks who look upon it as a &quot;serious&quot; alternative to all that crazy Facebook \/ Twitter \/ Google Plus social media stuff. Which is fine, as long as the only things you want to talk about won&#39;t be offensive to the Chinese government.<\/p>\n<p><i>&#39;Roger Pua, LinkedIn\u2019s director of corporate communications in the Asia-Pacific region, told the Guardian that the company supports freedom of expression. But he added that \u201cto create value for our members in China and around the world, we will need to implement the Chinese government\u2019s restrictions on content.\u201d&#39;<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Yes.
