How rational is the NRA's current mantra, "The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun"? \u00a0According to this gun owner — not very.<\/p>\n

It's an interesting article, because it's written from the perspective of someone who comes from gun ownership in the family and personally, and is rethinking the idea of carrying a gun\u00a0as a useful\u00a0means of personal protection or being able to take out a bad guy threatening others. \u00a0The comment section is (surprisingly) pretty level-headed as well.<\/p>\n

\n My wife and I got into an argument last night over a dead man. His name was Joseph Robert Wilcox. He was 31 on Sunday, the day he tried to stop cop-killer Jerad Miller in a Las Vegas Walmart and was shot by Miller’s wife Amanda. Wilcox was a good guy with a gun. It cost him his life.\n <\/p>\n
