The conversion inside is gorgeous. I didn't attend the grand gala reopening soiree (snort), but I did wander in at lunch a few weeks back and was very impressed by how they preserved the beautiful murals and turned the main bank interior into an airy, classy space.<\/p>\n

The way they handled the exterior in popping the ceiling for extra floors is still remarkably ugly (http:\/\/goo.gl\/BYb35s<\/a>), but I suppose it beats either tearing the (decade vacant) building down or having it still be sitting idle. \u00a0At ground level, at least, they've replaced the sidewalk and trees, added some uplighting, and finally have plants in the planters again, so, as long as I don't look too far up, it's all good.\ufeff<\/div>\n
