Because when you've got all the SWAT team gear, careful fact-checking and research don't matter as much. Is the perp there? Well, we'll find out. Is anyone else there? That's what the flash-bang is for. Are there kids there? What, do I look like I spent any time investigating the place? Are the drugs being sought after worth terrorizing a family? Well, they shouldn't have been where drugs were (or were supposed to be). Is the information any good? \u00a0Well, heck, it's a tip<\/i> from a confidential informant<\/i> about something he says happened two days ago,<\/i> so why not follow it up with a SWAT raid?<\/p>\n

Did anyone get hurt? Gosh, that might cause us some sleepless nights, so we might as well plan the next no-knock SWAT raid with all that free time. But we promise we'll be more careful next time …\u00a0<\/p>\n
