I've often enjoyed bits and bobs of the Batman Family comics over the years, but since the DC "New 52" they've been unrelentingly dark, grim, gritty, and unpleasant.<\/p>\n

I picked up Grayson<\/i> #1 this week, one of my first new DC titles in a while, and it was clean, interesting, and definitely worth the read now that the character is outside of the Bat-book universe.<\/p>\n

Now it looks like Batgirl<\/i> is getting a similar refresh, and I like what I'm reading and seeing about it (they had me at "Leather Jacket NOT Spandex"). I love Gail Simone, and I'll be checking out her new project, too, but this is looking good.<\/p>\n
