I'm sure I'm compressing things, but didn't we just recently have a replacement for Steve Rogers for a year or two? \u00a0And isn't it odd (and probably unhelpful) timing to swap out the identity of two<\/i> prominent Marvel heroes so closely together (with Thor's replacement just a few days ago)?<\/p>\n

I wish I could be more excited about this, but I've not been all that happy with Remender's writing on this book for a while, so this happening does not fill me with particular joy. \u00a0I mean, yeah, interesting choice for the replacement, but … a tick or two high on the stunt-meter for my taste.<\/p>\n

After revealing a new Thor on ABC\u2019s The View on Tuesday, Marvel Comics had another big reveal to make on Comedy Central\u2019s The Colbert Report. Marvel Comics Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada joined the show to announce who would be the next Captain America, after Steve Rogers lost his powers in Captain America #21. Sam Wilson a.k.a. The Falcon, Cap\u2019s longtime partner and friend will be taking over the role of Captain America.<\/p>\n
