Not one of my favorite pieces, but in general, Maxfield Parrish makes me grin like an idiot.<\/p>\n

Today we celebrate the birthday of the American artist Maxfield Parrish,<\/b> who was born on July 25th in 1870. \u00a0This is his Dream Castle in the Sky,<\/i> painted in 1908, about 10 years after Mucha painted his Seasons. While the style is different, we can still recognize the influence of Art Nouveau, in the romanticized treatment.<\/p>\n
